Overview
DBCLS is conducting a broad range of researches, from fundamental technology development for database integration using Semantic Web technology, to the development of web services and tools to enhance the usability of the life sciences databases. We are cooperating with a number of research institutes in Japan and abroad.
Achievements of our research activities are as follows:
- Fundamental technology development for Resource Description Framework (RDF) integration
- Supports for database integration and realization of integrated environment of distributed databases
- Construction of environment to use integrated databases for end-users
- Efficient operation and expansion of databases and other services
- Hosting training session in various regions of Japan/booth exhibition at scientific meetings/release of free-of-charge tutorial videos for web services and tools, etc.
